The Calvin Hicks Memorial Award for the Study of Music is a $500 scholarship to take music lessons, a class, a workshop, or a summer program at any accredited music school, whether or not in pursuit of a college degree, OR to take music lessons independently (in person or online) with a credentialed instructor.

CRLS students in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 are eligible. Requirements: a love of music, a commitment to learning, and financial need. Awardee may be at any level of music, from beginner to virtuoso. Awardee may study any instrument, voice, or music theory. 

One award is presented to one recipient each spring.
